Swimming: the Red-Fish in the French-speaking firmament

The Red-Fish Neuchâtel makes an impression. During the French-speaking summer championships in Geneva, the 48 swimmers present won the club classification. In total, they gleaned 60 medals, including 29 gold and 19 silver.

Manon Richard, Loane Richard, Alena Eggen, Malika Gagnebin, Thaline Beljean, Alexandre Bialon, Eli Schoeb, Mathis Gusse, Ilan Gagnebin, Naël Gumy have all been crowned Swiss champions at least once.

Triathlon: two Chaux-de-Fonniers on the podium in Rapperswil

Two triathletes from La Chaux-de-Fonds made it to the podium during the Rapperswil semi-ironman this Sunday, June 20, which included 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km (+1100m) of road cycling and 21.1 km of running. In the men’s 18-24 category, Elio Schneider (22) finished third in 4h31’31” (27’22”, 2h29’57” and 1h29’32”) and 21st overall.

Among the ladies, Valérie Schmidt placed second in the 40-44 age group. She finished in 5h10’13” (29’42”, 2h40’47” and 1h54’31”) and ranks 26th overall after suffering quite a bit from the heat. “I limited the damage,” she says. His next big goal is the ironman in Sweden on August 20, just a week before the La Chaux-de-Fonds triathlon.

The La Chaux-de-Fonds Beehives tchoukball team lost in the A league final to the Geneva Dragons 70-77 this weekend in Nyon. Following a good start to the match, the Genevans managed to go the distance to end up winning. This is the second national title for this team from Geneva.

Cycling: Justin Paroz wins the Prix du Bois-des-Lattes
