NBA market, Bradley Beal ready to renew with the Wizards

According to Adrian Wojnarowskiof ESPN, Bradley Beal would be prepared not to exercise his player option from 37.2 million, to be able to re-sign a 5-year contract at maximum salary with his Wizards. The player had already declared that he had clarified his future, without however revealing his real intentions. Beal has been at the center of many market rumors over the years, but in the end he chose to stay in the capital again.

The agreement should revolve around the 248 million dollarsmaking Beal the highest paid player in NBA history, but it will depend on the salary cap that the League sets for the 2022/23 season. Under the current salary cap, Beal could make money 42.7 million next year.

The season just ended has not been easy for the Wizards star: he missed 42 games through injury and for the third time in the last four years his team has not participated in the postseason. In his career Bradley Beal never went beyond the Conference semifinals.

However, next year there is hope that the Wizards can fight for a place in the playoffs. The trade that led Porzingis in the middle of last season it seems to have been a good move and with a healthier Beal, he could make an interesting couple. Don’t forget the promising new guard from Wisconsin, Johnny Davischosen at number 10 of Draft 2022. Then there are solid veterans like Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and the young man Rui Hachimura.

So, barring incredible surprises, Bradley Beal will play in Washington for theeleventh year in a row.
