Basketball, which is one of the most sought-after team sports in the capital, provides multiple benefits for the health of children, young people and the elderly who practice it thanks to the impeccable work carried out by the municipal sports schools.
This season, after the stoppage of the covid-19 pandemic, the return to normality has caused more than 1,500 children participate in the Municipal Basketball Sports Games. A figure that has flooded the courts day after day with the participation of 90 teams and that has left a good taste in the mouth.
Recently, the Councilor for Sports, Juanjo Segura, has attended the Palace of the Mediterranean Games to award the medals to the teams that have participated in these conferences where camaraderie and sportsmanship shone among the people of Almeria. In addition, he was accompanied by the provincial delegate of the Basketball Federation in Almería, José Cara at the award ceremony.
