Miky Woodz owns uniforms at Baloncesto Academy

Puerto Rican urban performer Miky Woodz has shown that his commitment to his audience goes beyond music. An example of this is his passion for the sport and his interest in encouraging the dreams of those who aspire to shine in this field.

As part of his goal, the artist yesterday delivered 400 uniforms to the Carolina Pumas Basketball Academy team, which guides the steps of students between the ages of 3 and 19. The academy, founded in 2006, has several championships. The event was held at the Villa Carolina 5th Section Sports Complex.

“I am grateful for everything the club did for me in my teens. They were a fundamental piece in my development as an athlete”, expressed the artist through a press release.

“It feels like a show to see how kids, just like I was at some point, are breaking through in the sport. What better than to contribute my grain of sand now that I am in a good moment in my career and in my personal life. I felt that I needed to help them and more than that I love the sport of basketball. I feel committed to it”, added the interpreter, raised in Villa Carolina.

The urban exponent thanked the contribution of the leader José L. Becerril, president of Carolina Pumas Basketball Academy, when he was part of the enrollment.

“This movement in my personal life is very important because I feel that I am helping the sport in Carolina, especially Mr. Becerril, who has been a witness since I was a child of how he has made this league grow. Thanks to him, I got to know the sport of basketball. Now was the time to help the person who helped me when I was little, “he said.

In addition to José L. Becerril, former National Superior Basketball (BSN) player Carlos Escalera, technical director of Carolina Pumas Basketball Academy, was also present during the delivery.
