“Mexican baseball is taking on a new face” – ContraRéplica

It is no surprise to anyone that the hot ball in the country is being strongly supported and the fans are responding in the best way by going to the stadiums, something that we have not experienced for many years.

In the LMB (Mexican Baseball League) season, the teams give us a great lineup, most franchises seek to have players who have passed through the big leagues or to be able to develop young talents who in the end may have exposure in the MLB (Major League Baseball).

Some important players have been Adrián González who returned to Mexico to play with the Mariachis de Guadalajara, after serving 14 years in Major League Baseball.

Efraín Contreras was signed by the San Diego Padres in 2017, after being viewed as having a great arm and a lot of shooting talent. Guerreros made a big signing in the preseason after acquiring Efraín, after a move with the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos.

The 2019 MVP Alonzo Harris arrived at the Oaxacan team in 2019 but in 2020 he chose to play in Saint Paul, since the LMB was canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. However, despite this, the Guerreros board announced that the American will play with them in 2021.

Oaxaca did not stop for anything in this season of signings and they brought back Jon del Campo, one of the most important contracts, not only of the military, but of the League itself. The player from Sonora will live his second stage with Oaxaca, where he was in 2012. After this, he has gone through teams such as the Leones de Yucatán, Pericos de Puebla, Diablos Rojos del México, Saraperos de Saltillo, Acereros de Monclova, Generales de Durango, Sultans of Monterrey and Braves of León.

One of its most important characteristics is its explosiveness at bat. His best year was in 2014, when Del Campo managed to bat for a .367 percentage, with 12 homeruns, 62 RBI, 114 hits, in 99 games played. Jon del Campo already appeared, at the end of March, with the manager Erik Rodríguez and a large part of the war team to start adjusting certain details for what is coming in the challenge that will be the season.

For Edgar Torres it was a surprise to go from the Generals of Durango to the Red Devils of Mexico, but he assures that the news does not bother him at all,

The 2022 LMB All-Star Game will be June 17-19 in Monclova, Coahuila. The regular campaign of the circuit will end on Sunday, August 7.

See you next time!
