Mercato: between Dembl and Raphinha, the Bara has sliced

For the animation of his right lane next season, FC Barcelona coach Xavi has validated the Raphinha track, while giving priority to Ousmane Dembl whose contract expires on Friday. On the eve of this important date, the club therefore took a decision that was undoubtedly final.

The Bara Xavi coach wanted to keep Ousmane Dembl.

After a final meeting on Monday, FC Barcelona and the agent of Ousmane Dembl (25) gave themselves a last chance to reach an agreement.

Le Bara, whose offer of an unchanged extension did not convince his interlocutor, had undertaken to study the possibility of increasing the present conditions.

Dembl will be free

But we have to believe that the reflection did not last very long. As the French winger’s contract expires on Friday, local Sport media say the leaders do not intend to review their offer.

Despite coach Xavi’s insistence, it seems that management was not really determined to keep Dembl due to the tensions of recent months. In any case, the Bara has already turned the page and is concentrating its efforts on Raphinha (25). A new offer was sent to Leeds on Wednesday, journalist Fabrizio Romano tells us. An amount still insufficient in the eyes of the English who would claim the 70 million euros presented by Chelsea for the Brazilian.

The Bara better armed for Raphinha

Not enough to cool the Bara that the Times announces ready to line up. Some will wonder how the Catalan club can afford such an operation. But the president Joan Laporta has just recorded a receipt of more than 200 million euros thanks to the sale of 10% of his TV rights to Sixth Street Partners for 25 years. And other cash inflows are still expected this summer.

These valid sales by the socios should allow the vice-champion of Spain to return the charge for Raphinha, whose agent is none other than the former Barcelonan Deco. It is even certain that FC Barcelona has made a commitment to the former Rennais, certainly determined to join Bara, but who would not have ruled out the proposals from Chelsea and Arsenal without a minimum of guarantees.
