Meet the athletes who represent Bolivia in the Bolivarian Games of Valledupar 2022

Bolivia will be present at the XIX version of the Bolivarian Games of Valledupar 2022which will be played from June 24 in that Colombian city.

The Bolivian delegation will be made up of 280 peopleof which 212 are athletes and the rest of the staff are part of the officials and coaches.

Initially they had planned the participation of 330 athletes, but for financial reasons “that number could not be reached,” said the president of the Bolivian Olympic Committee (COB), Marco Arze.

Another of the highlights in the Bolivian delegation is the athlete David Ninaviaone of the country’s sporting promises who won a gold medal in the 5,000 meter event at the Junior Pan American Games in Cali last year.

196 plane tickets were delivered by the Vice Ministry of Sports and the rest will be covered by the COB, which will also bear the other expenses that include the rest of the plane tickets, uniforms and competition registration, among others.

Bolivia participates in 27 disciplinesincluding basketball, soccer, volleyball, swimming, athletics, fencing, karate, taekwondo, judo and boxing.

“The objective of the Olympic Committee, aside from obtaining medals, is the possibility that athletes can begin a training and preparation process with a view to the 2024 Paris Games”, he claimed.

In addition, he added that there are good possibilities of “do podium” in disciplines such as cycling, athletics, swimming and fencing.

A total of 11 countries, including seven members of the Bolivarian Sports Organization, Odebo, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela; plus four guests, Guatemala, El Salvador, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic, will compete in the XIX Valledupar Bolivarian Games that will compete for medals in 54 disciplines.

In recent days, the news had been released that the country could be left without participating in the XIX Bolivarian Games, because there was a dismissal due to lack of support from the Vice Minister of Sports.
