Manchester City: Pep Guardiola wants to get rid of ex-favorite player – FOOTBALL

Will Manchester City let a top star go?

Despite the second English championship in a row, not every Citizen player is happy. Raheem Sterling (27) could even leave the club now.

And that despite the fact that Sterling used to be one of coach Pep Guardiola’s (51) favorite players! But now it doesn’t seem to be needed anymore.

In his coaching career, Guardiola used the England international 292 times. No footballer played more often under the genius coach.

Nevertheless, the signs point to separation. This is mainly due to the tough competition in the city team. On Sterling’s left wing position are 117 million men Jack Grealish (26) and super talent Phil Foden (22) in front of him, which is why the ex-Liverpool player is often just a noble joker.

The City concern: The unsatisfied Sterling will let his contract expire after the end of next season and go on a free transfer. City could only achieve a suitable fee this summer.

As several English media reports, Chelsea and Real Madrid are said to be interested. According to the Telegraph, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel (48) is said to have even contacted Sterling personally!

At Real Madrid, the offensive swirler could fill the gap left by the departures of Gareth Bale (32) and Marco Asensio (26). With Eden Hazard (31) still not finding his form, Sterling would be a top alternative for Los Blancos.

According to the “Telegraph” report, City should put Sterling’s value at 58 to 70 million euros. So the next mega transfer of the summer could be pending…
