BOLASPORT.COM – Indonesian women’s singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung made a surprise in the first round of the Malaysia Open 2022.

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung had to fight a tough match in the first round of the Malaysia Open 2022 against the world badminton queen, Akane Yamaguchi.

Appearing at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Tuesday (28/6/2022) Gregoria won over the Japanese representatives in two straight games, 21-14, 21-14 in 26 minutes.

With this sweet result, Gregoria will appear again in the last 16 phase of the Malaysia Open 2022 on Thursday (30/6/2022).



The course of the match

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung opened the first game with a fairly aggressive appearance.

The attacks that were quite tactical made Gregoria managed to get three points in a row from Akane Yamaguchi’s hands.

The Japanese representative had time to reduce the position after Gregoria’s punch was still stuck in the net.

Despite the resistance, Gregoria was able to maintain a solid performance and win the first interval with a score of 11-4.
