Löwen’s new club is set

Eduard Löwen is moving from Hertha BSC to the North American MLS. According to Transfermarkt.us, the midfielder is about to join St. Louis City FC. The negotiations with the club of ex-Fortuna sports director Lutz Pfannenstiel are “well advanced”. A little later, the ‘Bild’ also reported on the forthcoming deal.

Löwen will receive a long-term contract from the MLS representative, while Hertha will receive a transfer fee in the single-digit million range. Since moving from 1. FC Nürnberg, the 25-year-old has never been able to assert himself in Berlin. Löwen spent the past season on loan at VfL Bochum (28 appearances, three goals, four assists).
