Laguiole. The Bouyssou resort hosts the Mountain Festival

The Mountain Festival for schoolchildren was canceled yesterday by the academic inspection but the association of Friends of the Aubrac Regional Natural Park intends to make up for it this Sunday for its opening to the general public. “We complied with the decision of the academic inspection. I collapsed because it was done at the last moment but I understand their position given the violent storm which fell on Aubrac, it is always dangerous in the mountains”, explains Michel Rouquette, co-president of the association.

30 activities offered

However, morale and ambition are intact for the sixth edition of the Fête de la montagne, which hopes for at least 3,000 people at the Bouyssou ski resort in Laguiole. Pony rides, gym, trampoline, deval’kart, archery, introduction to Segway, electric quadbike, electric bike, climbing, mushing, slackline, dances, carriage rides, botanical outings, bowling, helicopter winch demonstration, exhibitions, creative workshops, tastings, on-site catering, etc. No less than thirty activities will be offered this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A great opportunity to discover the ski resort in summer, such is the association’s desire to develop the five resorts of the Aubrac regional natural park to operate in all four seasons. “There is something for all tastes, for all ages, and for all mobility”concludes Michel Rouquette who can rely on around fifty partners, professional instructors, tourist offices, associations and companies.

Admission: €2 from 16 years old, free for children.
