Kings trade for John Collins

The Sacramento Kings and the Atlanta Hawks would have recently held negotiations for a possible transfer of power forward John Collins, according to media sources The Athletic.

The Georgia franchise would seek to get rid of Collins’ contract, and in the alleged conversation he would have claimed the 4th pick of the 2022 Draft in possession of the Kings, to which they have flatly refused.

According to the latest information from Shams Charania, the price for that 4th pick would be very high, since current general manager Monte McNair would be delighted with the selection of Jordan Ivey of Purdue University, or perhaps Keegan Murray of Iowa.

Regarding John Collins, he still has 4 guaranteed years ahead of him for a total of 102 million dollars. Last season he averaged 16.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 30 minutes per game.
