Kenyon Martin Jr. has discussed a transfer with the Rockets

With the departure of Christian Wood to Dallas, the Rockets have a good chance of choosing Paolo Banchero Thursday night during the Draft, with their third choice. In addition, after this transfer with the Mavericks, they also recovered the 26th choice of the Draft, to go with their 17th.

Newcomers Boban Marjanovic, Marquese Chriss, Trey Burke and Sterling Brown certainly shouldn’t be retained, except perhaps the former, but the Texas franchise, between the transfer and the Draft, is going to have several more players in its effective within a few days.

So that for Kenyon Martin Jr., the future is now unclear. The interior of the Rockets, which averaged 8.8 points this season, is improving and for that, he needs playing time. He is now not sure to have many minutes next season.

The son of the former Nets or Nuggets player therefore took the lead, according to The Athletic, by going to discuss with the leaders around a possible transfer. The discussion would have been frank and without animosity.

Still according to our colleagues, several teams have recently shown interest in Kenyon Martin Jr, a physical and bouncy interior but still raw offensively, especially at ease near the circle.

It must be said that his profile is attractive since he is very young (21 years old) and remains under contract for two more seasons, for only 3.7 million dollars, which are not, moreover, completely guaranteed.
