June 26 is Olympic Day in Saint-Denis!

Sports enthusiasts, fans of shows, or simply keen on activity, whether young or old, will be able to take advantage of an Olympic Day organized by Paris 2024. Two years before the Olympic Games, the meeting wants to be a celebration as much as a taste of the global event. For this, the organizers have planned a dense program, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., near the Stade de France. In and around an adjoining stadium created for the occasion, numerous sports and non-sporting activities will be offered. The different federations of the Olympic disciplines will put their sport forward, and some champions are expected.

Olympic sports, shows, music on the program

Fields will be passable to try, or not, known sports and others less publicized. The canal located not far from the stadium will even be available for learning rowing and other nautical disciplines! About thirty different sports will thus be able to be discovered, with the federations as animators. Rugby, swimming, judo, handball, archery, horse riding, weightlifting, sailing, wrestling, field hockey, canoeing…

An interesting list, completed by the new Olympic sports of the 2024 Olympics: breakdance, skateboarding and climbing. The Paralympic sport will not be outdone, with sitting volleyball, boccia (a throwing sport like pétanque), or wheelchair fencing. Top-level athletes will also be present, such as Romain Cannone, Olympic fencing champion in Tokyo, or Camille Lacourt, five-time world swimming champion, among other athletes.

Comedian Hakim Jemili or the former glory of PSG Raí present

A high-level cast therefore, supplemented by the presence of the former PSG player, the Brazilian Raí (champion of France 1994, 51 selections with the Seleção), or that of the comedian Hakim Jemili. But this Olympic day will also include a cultural Olympiad combining artistic practice and sports culture and cultural events. Artistic performances, shows, or showcase are thus programmed. A central stage will be set up to host artistic and sports demonstrations, such as BMX flat, freestyle football with Séan Garnier, or dance and breakdance battles.

Everything will be done in an atmosphere during this day: music, festive and fun spaces, catering for all tastes, and DJ set. The cultural barge Le Barboteur will be on the canal. Seine-Saint-Denis will also be honored with the participation of many actors from the local scene, in terms of hip hop, breakdance, or freestyle football. Something to celebrate an Olympic Day worthy of the name at the Stade de France, far from the sad events of the Champions League final.
