“It’s the end of bling-bling and glitter at PSG”, warns its president Nasser al-Khelaïfi

A radical change of course for a club that has accustomed us to accumulating stars and egos in a locker room sometimes on the verge of breaking. Visibly aware of the failure of the operation bling-blingthe president therefore wants to fall back on a more united collective: We want players who like the club, who like to fight, who like to win. For next season, the objective is clear: to work every day at 200%. Give everything we have for this jersey, give the maximum and we will see the result. We have to become humble again. Whoever wants to remain in his comfort, who does not want to fight, he will stay aside.

The message is therefore quite clear: there will be no room for oversized egos and players who want to step out of line. To see if the message will pass in the locker room.

In the rest of the interview, the president definitively buried the track leading to Zinédine Zidane (“On never spoke with him, neither directly nor indirectly”) and almost formalized the arrival of Christophe Galtier at the head of the pennant team: “We are discussing with Nice, it is not a secret. I hope we can reach an agreement soon.”

Renowned for his qualities as a leader of men but not yet necessarily very well known internationally, Galtier would therefore be part of this new line of conduct, anti-bling-bling. It now remains to be seen if he has the shoulders to take PSG to the top of European football.
