Indonesia Open 2022 Schedule Saturday: 10 Semi-Finals, No Red and White Representatives

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Schedule for the Indonesia Open 2022 to enter the semifinals on Saturday, June 18, 2022. There will be 10 matches that will be held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta since 12.00 WIB.

None of the host representatives participated in the semifinal matches of the Indonesia Open 2022 today. It happened after the four remaining Indonesian representatives had to fall in the quarter-finals last Friday.

Without a representative in the semifinals, this was the worst performance by the Red and White squad since this badminton tournament was held in 1982. It is also confirmed that the hosts will not win a single title at the 2022 Indonesia Open or repeat the poor achievements of the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2015 editions. and 2016.

On the other hand, the semifinals of the Indonesia Open 2022 were dominated by Asian badminton athletes. Of the 20 contestants who competed, 18 of them were representatives of Asia.

China became the most successful country by passing seven representatives to the semifinals, including Chen Yu Fei and Zheng Si Wei / Huang Ya Qiong who won the Indonesia Masters 2022 last week.

There are also South Korea and Japan who both have three representatives in the semifinals of the Indonesia Open 2022. Malaysia has two ammunition, while Taiwan, Thailand and India each passed one representative.

Meanwhile, the remaining two slots were filled with representatives of the European continent through Viktor Axelsen and Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup Rasmussen who both came from Denmark.   • Ganda Campuran – Wang Yi Lyu/Huang Dong Ping (Cina/4) Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong (Cina/2)
  • Women’s Singles – Chen Yu Fei (China/2) vs Tai Tzu Ying (Taiwan/2)
  • Women’s Doubles – Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai (Thailand/7) vs Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida (Japan/6)
  • Men’s Singles – Viktor Axelsen (Denmark/1) vs Lee Zii Jia (Malaysia/6)
  • Men’s Doubles – Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik (Malaysia/6) vs Liu Yu Chen/Ou Xuan Yi (China)
  • Women’s Doubles – Yuki Fukushima/Sayaka Hirota (Japan/4) vs Lee So-hee/Shin Seung-chan (South Korea/2)
  • Men’s Singles – Zhao Jun Peng (China) vs Prannoy HS (India)
  • Ganda Putra – Choi Sol-gyu / Kim Won-ho (Korea Selatan) vs Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark / 8)
