They can face at least two Indonesian pairs, namely the 2022 All England champions, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana and world number 1 Marcus Fernaldi/Kevin Sanjaya in the second round and quarter-finals, respectively.

Rexy wants his athletes to remain calm and remain stable in the face of support supporter host.

“The hall at Istora Senayan is small and the crowd is crazy. The players must be stable and stay focused during the match,” said Rexy as reported by BolaSport.com from The Star.

“The players have trained twice since arriving here. They have also tried the main court. So far, everything is fine. Our pair must be mentally prepared and believe they can beat this home pair,” said Rexy.

No Malaysian men’s doubles pair have won the Indonesian Masters since the tournament’s name was changed from Indonesia Open Grand Prix Gold in 2010.

Meanwhile, Rexy hopes all the newly formed mixed doubles pairs under him will start their cooperation well.
