In Lannion, more than 400 young people at the sports day – Lannion

Last Wednesday, as part of the sports day organized by the city of Lannion, more than 400 young people were present at the Park-Névez sports complex. During this afternoon, many disabled sports disciplines were offered by the Lannion sports clubs. The city intends to take advantage of the influence of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to promote diversity, in particular through the Paralympic Games. It was thus possible to test sitting volleyball, handibasket, sabarcane, fencing, badminton, etc. “Many clubs in Lannion offer sections open to people with disabilities. They even have figureheads, such as Agnès Etavard, French badminton champion, several times selected for the national handibasket team. But it doesn’t stop there. The Trégorrois handisport club team also plays in national 1”, specifies Gwenaëlle Lair, deputy mayor.
