IES La Orden heads to Poland to play the European Cup

The Badminton Club IES La Orden will leave tomorrow from Faro airport (Portugal) for Poland to play the European Club Championship, which will take place in Bialystok from June 28 to July 2. The albiazul team will move the players Adrián Márquez, Eliezer Ojeda and Alejandro Márquez, who will be joined by youth squad player Álvaro Morán, and the players Haidee Ojeda, Laura Santos and Telma Santos.

On this occasion, they will not be able to travel with the club or Victor Martinout due to his knee injury that also prevented him from playing in the final of the national league, nor Belén Rodríguez for work reasons.

IES La Orden will face CDR Dos Prazeres from Portugal on Tuesday, June 28 (10:00). On the 29th they will do so against the Norwegian Frogner Il (10:00) and on the 30th against the local UKS Hubal Bialystok (10:00)..

The people from Huelva leave as second seeded in a tournament that brings together 16 clubs from eight countries, divided into four groups. After playing the first phase, two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.

This will be the seventh participation of the albiazul team in the European championship, in which they already won bronze medals in the 2016 editions in Tours (France) and 2019 in Junglinster (Luxembourg).
