HSV: Josha Vagnoman moves to the Bundesliga

HSV hasn’t seen a day like this in a long time. First the club announced Sonny Kittel’s whereabouts (was about to move to the USA), then he committed Gladbach’s László Bénes. And now Josha Vagnoman is about to jump. The U21 international is in advanced talks with VfB Stuttgart.

Is Vagnoman gone soon? Looks like it. As MOPO found out, there has been agreement between the player and VfB for several days. The fan platform “HSV1887TV” first reported on the upcoming deal on Tuesday.

Transfer for Vagnoman could be five to six million euros

Other clubs are still on Vagnoman, but VfB is his favourite. Now it’s all about the redemption. HSV is hoping for up to eight million euros from the sale. The thrifty Swabians are still a long way from that. A possible scenario: A fee in the range of five to six million euros plus possible bonus payments.

It remains to be seen whether Vagnoman will even open the Volkspark again. After his international appearances at the beginning of the month, he is still on vacation until HSV leaves for the Austria training camp, which begins on Saturday. Everything indicates that he will no longer be on board.

HSV is urgently looking for a Vagnoman replacement

With his sale, HSV would further improve its transfer budget for this summer and create additional leeway. Equally clear: the club urgently needs a replacement at the back right, since Jan Gyamerah (Nuremberg) has already left HSV.
