HSV: In addition to Kittel, six professionals are missing at the start of training

HSV fans had to wait more than two years for this. Since March 2020 and the outbreak of the corona pandemic, the training sessions of the professionals have not taken place in public. When fans came by, they had to follow their loved ones through the fences. That is now over: With the start of training in the Volkspark (Monday, 2 p.m.), HSV opens its gates, and the supporters can now enter the ranks at the training ground again.

A next step back to normality. As long as there are no other guidelines from the health authorities, HSV wants to let its fans get closer to the team again. Selfies and autographs after training sessions were increasingly allowed again towards the end of last season. From now on, the club wants to publish the training times of the pros again on its homepage.

Fans who had hoped to see Sonny Kittel (29) up close before he left Hamburg will be disappointed on Monday. The 29-year-old will no longer be there. The offensive man is drawn to the USA, according to reports, DC United has the best cards. HSV should receive a fee of one million euros.

A total of seven HSV professionals are missing at the start

In addition to Kittel, six other players will be missing today. Josha Vagnoman (21/would also like to leave HSV) and Mario Vuskovic (20) have special leave after their international matches. This also applies to defensive talent Valon Zumberi (19), who should be getting a taste of the professionals in the future. Bakery Jatta (24, thigh), Anssi Suhonen (21, fibula fracture) and Elijah Krahn (18, ankle) are injured.
