The open child and youth work of the city of Bottrop has organized free holiday offers for children and young people for the summer holidays.
On Monday, July 11, eleven to 17-year-olds can take part in a billiards workshop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the billiard training center at BC Weywiesen 24/09. Club trainers teach the basics and techniques there, and a small tournament is also played. Meals are provided.
On Tuesday, July 12, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a climbing workshop for 12 to 17 year olds in the climbing arena 79 on the south ring. The program consists of an introduction to belaying and climbing with a difficulty of your choice under the guidance of trained trainers.
On Saturday, July 30, ten to fourteen-year-olds can get to know baseball at the Vonderort sports field. The Bottrop Blackjacks baseball team is holding a workshop there from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At various stations, the participants try out throwing, catching with gloves and hitting. A ball throwing machine and a real game complete the program. Baseball equipment is provided. Meals are provided.
