Hockey: NHL – Tampa Bay equalizes against NY Rangers

defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning has in the North American Ice Hockey League NHL in the finals of Eastern Conference against the New York Rangers equalized to 2:2.

In the fourth game of the series in best-of-seven mode, the ice hockey team won 4-1 in front of their home crowd in Florida.

Early guided tour of Maroon

Both teams have won their two previous home games. To enter the Stanley-Cup-Finals a team needs four wins. The title holder of the past two years took the lead in the third minute through Pat Maroon and then didn’t give up the lead. Nikita Kutscherow (34th minute), Steven Stamkos (45th) and Ondrej Palat (60th/Empty Net) scored the other goals. Artemi Panarin (57th) had just scored the goal for Rangers.

The fifth duel in the series will take place in New York on Thursday evening (06/09/2022/local time), after which it will be back to Tampa for game six on Saturday evening (local time).

Rangers last in the final eight years ago

The Rangers last played for the Stanley Cup in 2014. 20 years ago they won the title for the last time. The final series pits the winner of the Eastern Conference against the Colorado Avalanche to Augsburg’s Nico Sturm, who is in the final of the Western Conference with four wins in four games against the Edmonton Oilers around Leon Draisaitl.
