Historic agreement: Waasland-Beveren becomes SK Beveren again | 1B Pro League

The two parties speak in a joint press release of “an important first step”. A special general meeting of the non-profit association KSK Beveren yesterday approved the collaboration, in the presence of Waasland-Beveren CEO Antoine Gobinn and chairman Jo Van Moer.

There is not only cooperation, but there is also a definitive arrangement about the stock number 2300 on the one hand and the use of the name and logo of (K)SK Beveren on the other.

From the 2022-2023 season, both clubs will enter their respective competitions with the historic logo of KSK Beveren: KVRS Waasland-SK Beveren will enter the Pro League 1B as SK Beveren, under tribe number 4068; Supporters Circle Beveren will join KSK Beveren in 1st Provincial East Flanders, under the historic stock number 2300.

The clubs will henceforth have a shared right to use the trademark rights of KSK Beveren. In this way, both clubs want to “fully revive the identity and history of the Beverse football pride in the widest possible community of supporters”.

Waasland-Beveren and SK Beveren will work together on an organizational, logistical and commercial level. “For example, joint events will be organized and forces will be joined for social projects in the service of the community.”

The rapprochement process will take at least 5 years. The aim is to bring the two clubs closer together “organically and gradually”.

“The ultimate aim is to bring Beverse football together again under 1 flag at the Freethiel, under number 2300, with the historical colors and the historical logo of KSK Beveren”, all parties conclude the press release.
