The hardest sports fans and connoisseurs of the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA) certainly remember the days when basketball courts were dominated by tall players. Over the years, fashion trends have changed, with the game relying more on outside line players and a large number of long shots. Has that made NBA basketball more boring?
“All we do is shoot threes and win championships!” (“All we do is throw in three-pointers and win championships!” in the finals, winning the title of champion of the GoldenState “Warriors” four times.
Watching the matches in the 2022 NBA Finals series, I didn’t get the feeling that the whole game was really based on long shots. The game seemed very uniform. Mostly the leaders of the Warriors and Boston Celtics went through the drift, which was followed by a throw-in from the bottom of the basket or a play-out by a teammate in the long range.
