Guaiqueríes de Margarita continues to strengthen for the Professional Basketball Super League – Yvke Mundial

Two new pieces arrive to reinforce Guaiqueríes de Margarita for the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB), point guard José Sojo and forward Morris Sierralta are the new additions of the tribe that come to give depth to the bench led by Pablo Favarel.

Sojo, 26 years old and 1.80 meters tall, arrives to contribute to driving the ball in the island team. The Guariqueño played last season with Spartans Distrito Capital. With the team from the capital he averaged 2.9 points, 1.9 assists and 1.1 rebounds.

“I am grateful to the management for thinking of me and reaching an agreement to be in a historic team like Guaiqueríes de Margarita, which is also the current champion,” Sojo said.

For his part, the experienced Sierralta joins the Margarita squad after playing the last tournament with Broncos de Caracas.

Morris, 35, played 6 games with the horses in the 2021 Super League Cup, there he averaged 10.0 points, 2.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds and one steal per game.

The Mirandino is excited by his arrival at the Margarita team and expects to contribute the knowledge of his extensive career, with which he has traveled internationally (Argentina and Colombia).

With the start of the first edition of the SPB approaching, Guaiqueríes continues to consolidate his squad, these two additions come to reinforce the island’s bench, and there are already nine players announced to defend his title.
