Great success the second phase of the Mineros Basketball Cup – El Sol de Parral

As year after year since its beginning, the Mineros National Basketball Cup in its fifth edition and in the framework and celebration of the 23rd anniversary of Club Mineros de Basquetbol AC, continues successfully in its second phase, within the categories, youth 04- 05, cadets 06-07 and catwalk 08-09, in activity carried out on June 24, 25 and 26, 2022, in four gyms in the city.

With this, the curtain closed in a very positive way on the activity of the burst sport event by the Club Mineros de Parral AC, which this year 2022, is celebrating its 23rd anniversary with long tablecloths, where all those involved took a great taste of mouth, by the organization, since they were very satisfied with their respective awards, where there was a total of 45 teams in its second stage.

Firstly, in the women’s catwalk category 2008-2009, the champions are: Vikingas de Juárez, leaving Potras de Chihuahua in second and Mineras de Parral in third, taking the individual awards, Camila Díaz, gold player; Ayleth Ledezma, player with values; Natalia Morales, MVP; Andrea Luna, best basket player; Michelle Burrola, best defense and Manuel Acosta the best coach.

On the other hand, in female cadets 2006-2007, the champions were, Vikingas de Juárez; Dorados Basquetbol Chihuahua was second and Mineras de Parral AC were third; April Geronimo, gold player; Mónica Tarín, player with values; Paula Acosta, MVP; Paula Acosta, best basket player, Citlali Jauri, best defense and Hilda Miller, best coach.

While in women’s youth 2004-2005, the monarchs are Vikingas de Juárez, runners-up, Valkirias Academia Municipal Jiménez and third, Búfalos de Chihuahua, while Alessandra Amador won the gold player award; Camila Bravo was the player with values; Paulina Acosta the MVP; Xochitl Jauri, best basket maker; Paula Acosta, best defense and Manuel Acosta, best coach.

Within the men’s branch in the men’s catwalk category 2008-2009, the champions are: Troyanos 08 from Juárez, second, Rawigas from Chihuahua and third, Troyanos from Juárez 09; obtaining the individual prizes, Gerónimo Salas, gold player; player with values; Gael Castillo, MVP; Juan Pablo Duran, best basket player; Daniel Reyes, best defense and Iván de Lara, best coach.

Similarly, in cadets 2006-2007, the champions resulted, Choops Academy Chihuahua, Buffalos Chihuahua was second and Eagles of Delights remained third; the individual awards were for, Andre Portillo, gold player; Omar Peña and Mauricio Rodriguez, players with values; Adrian Cabrera, MVP; Eduardo Garcia, best basket; Sebastian Hernandez, best defense and Miguel Aguayo, best coach.

To conclude, in the youth category 2004-2005, the title went to the Chihuahua Morado National Team; Selection Chihuahua Amarillo came second and Mineros de Parral ranked third; those who took the individual distinctions were: Santiago Ang, gold player; Elías Maldonado, player with values; Emilio Mendoza, MVP; Ángel Martínez, best basket player; Maximiliano Peña, best defense and Alejandro Barraza, best coach.
