Girona celebrated this Monday the promotions of the soccer team that returned to the elite three years later and the basketball team to the Endesa League, led by Marc Gasol, with a parade through the streets of Girona
The city and the province will have First Division football three years later, after the victory on Sunday in Tenerife.
The team will experience its third year in the highest category and the city will once again enjoy top-level men’s basketball 14 years later.
It was not for less, reasons to go out to the street were not lacking to the people of Girona. In front of dedicated fans, the teams thanked and enjoyed the moment, the prize for perseverance, for believing, for never giving up despite the bad times.
The party moved to the town hall square, overflowing with people. Between shouts, cheers of joy, the hoarse messages of the protagonists of an already historic day could hardly be heard.
