Girona celebrates the centenary of the Vista Alegre football field

Girona has celebrated this afternoon the centenary of the camp of Good views. The celebration of the anniversary has continued with two more activities, which have given voice to some of the protagonists of that feat. First of all, the documentary has been released 100 years of the Vista Alegre fieldproduced by Quim Paredes, a video recorded on the initiative of the residents of the neighborhood to commemorate the centenary and remember how football transformed the area. Afterwards, there was a talk with the participation of people linked to Girona football and the sporting history of Girona in Vista Alegre. Over the last hundred years, the Vista Alegre field has acted as the nucleus of the neighborhood, first as the headquarters of the former Girona Sports Union and, since the late 80’s until now, as an urban park of the city. In between, athletes from the Girona Tennis Clubof the Girona Hockey Club, of AVAP Girona Volleyball Club and Girona FC, who played at the stadium for forty years, before moving to Montilivi.
