Haarlem

Badminton club Duinwijck has considerably strengthened the selection of the Eredivisie team by attracting Gayle Mahulette. The 29-year-old singles specialist became Dutch champion in 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2022. She was also a losing finalist three times.

Mahulette played competition at BC Amersfoort and was part of the Dutch selections at Papendal for a long time. At the beginning of 2020 she decided to step out of the national senior selection and continue as an independent player. She trains at a high level in Denmark and also plays midweek competitions there. In addition, she is active in the French league and Duinwijck joins that, something that is allowed by regulations. Her position in the team of the Haarlem national champion will be that of first single player. She is currently in 122nd place in the world ranking.

Put

Stan Put, who became champion in 2018 with Duinwijck, will also return, but now as an assistant coach next to Jacco Arends. This construction should work better than constantly deploying multiple playing coaches. Put will also be involved in the training. The selection of the Haarlem-based club for the new season, which starts on September 10, is basically complete.

Mahmoud

Duinwijck previously announced that Aram Mahmoud is switching from the German Lüdinghausen. The 24-year-old singles specialist was part of the so-called IOC refugee team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo last year. Nadia Choukri, Imke and Wessel van der Aar will also play for Duinwijck next season.
