Gabriel Debru won the Roland-Garros junior tournament on Saturday against Belgian Gilles Arnaud Bailly.
Failing to shine in the main tournament, the French stand out at Roland-Garros in the junior tournament. Gabriel Debru won the final on Saturday June 4 against the Belgian Gilles Arnaud Bailly, 7-6 (7/5), 6-3. The young Grenoble native succeeds Luca Van Assche, winner last year of the tournament reserved for the under 18s.
Debru is the youngest winner since a certain Holger Rune, who was a surprise guest in the quarters of the senior table this week after knocking out world number 4 and outgoing finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas.
