At just 31 years old, he hangs up his sneakers to train at the University of Missouri
It’s hard to remember and it’s time to remember when the name of Phil Pressey, basketball player who wore the jersey of the FC Barcelona during the season 2017-2018.
The American point guard landed at the Palau Blaugrana to complement himself in the ‘1’ position alongside Thomas Heurtel. Between 2013 and 2017 he went through the Boston Celtics, los Philadelphia 76ers o los Phoenix Suns, in addition to some team from the development league of the NBA. It was not a bad resume for a player who did not meet the expectations generated and who left Barcelona at the end of the season, with a Copa del Rey under the arm.
A race through Europe and back to the ACB
Pressey continued his career in Europe, even returning to the Endesa League with the help of Students, the 2019-2020 academic year. But at 31 years old, Pressey has decided to retire from the world of basketball as a player and start his career as a coach.

He will take over the bench at the University of Missouri
He will do it at the University of Missouri Tigers. There he trained as a player between 2010 and 2013, although he failed to be selected in the draft. The player has announced his decision through a video on his social networks, and now he will have to follow in his footsteps to see how his career as a coach develops.
