The Draft is approaching, and inevitably, the market is coming alive. At the start of the evening, Adrian Wojnarowski told us that the Lakers signed a transfer with Orlando:

The Los Angeles Lakers have recovered pick number 35 from Orlando in exchange for cash and a future second round of the Draft.
harmless? Not really. After stripping themselves of their Draft picks as part of the trade ofAnthony Davis, the Angelinos had absolutely no pick available for tonight. It is now done, with this 35th choice, well placed, which could allow the front office to make a steal. Rob Pelinka had also made no secret of his desire to obtain a 2nd round pick during the Darvin Ham presentation conference. And he kept his word.
With this new trump up their sleeve, the Angelinos hope to find a diamond in the rough in the second round, capable of contributing to the rotation. This is already what the Californian franchise had achieved with Alex Caruso and Austin Reaves, recovered after not being drafted in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
