First Parataekwondo Camp and Academy in Querétaro

A “Parataekwondo Camp and Academy” is being held for the first time in Querétaro, announced INDEREQ’s director of planning and new projects, José Antonio Álvarez Martín, on behalf of the general director, Edward Sánchez del Río, and with the presence of Janet Alegría, coach of the Mexican team of the discipline, as well as the Mexican Olympic multi-medallist María del Rosario Espinoza and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic champion Juan Diego García.

Coach Janeth Alegría said she was grateful that for the first time an event of this nature can be experienced in the State.

“I am very grateful that in Querétaro, an event of this nature is being held for the first time, we need more athletes to join this dream, to bring 20 athletes to the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile.”

The main objective of the camp will be to prepare the athletes for the next national and international championships, among which are the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile 2023, in addition to seeking to open the doors so that more people can get closer to this great sport.

For her part, the Olympic medalist María del Rosario Espinoza mentioned that she is proud to be a member of the para taekwondo technical team.

“I am proud to now be a member of the para taekwondo technical team, they have always been a motivation for me, seeing how their lives are transformed thanks to the sport and for all the work they do every day.”
