Culture Judo
This sport was created by Jigoro Kano in 1882. The moral code of judo includes eight values that the judoka strives to apply in his everyday life and on the judo mats:
- Politeness, it’s respect for others
- Courage, is to do what is right
- Sincerity, it is to express oneself without disguising one’s thought
- honor, is to be faithful to the word given
- Modesty, it is to speak of oneself without pride
- Le respect, without respect no trust can be born
- self control, it’s knowing how to be silent when anger rises
- Friendship, it’s the purest of human feelings
The respect and trust that one grants to one’s adversary are essential.
