Leroy Sané was often criticized in the past season. Now the benefits have an impact on his market value. The FC Bayern professional is the big loser in the current ranking of “transfermarkt.de”. The man of the hour comes from Leipzig.
EIt’s an end of the season to forget for Leroy Sané. The midfielder has had to give up his regular place at FC Bayern in recent weeks, after the quarter-final second leg against FC Villarreal in the Champions League he was no longer in the starting eleven. Sané scored his last scorer point in mid-March. And in the national team it took exactly 59 weak minutes in the classic in Italy until the national coach took him off the field.

Sané also holds the largest share of the total minus of FC Bayern. The squad of the record champions is worth around 35 million euros less (previously: 804.5 million euros). “This can be explained by a combination of poor form and the advanced age of some top performers and leading players,” says Tobias Kröger, market value coordinator for the Bundesliga at “transfermarkt.de”. The pursuers Borussia Dortmund (minus 22 million euros) and RB Leipzig (minus 16 million euros) are in a similar situation to Bayern.
Nkunku’s value increases by 15 million euros
At least Christopher Nkunku can be happy from the perspective of Leipzig. The Frenchman had an outstanding season with 35 goals and 20 assists in all competitions. Consequently, he is the biggest winner of the update and recorded a plus of 15 million euros.

After the departure of Erling Haaland to Manchester City, he is the most valuable player in the league together with Joshua Kimmich and Jude Bellingham (all 80 million euros). “Nkunku has developed into an absolute star in Leipzig and a figurehead for the club and league,” explains Kröger.
