FC Bayern Munich: Gravenberch – United wanted to prevent my transfer to Bayern – FC BAYERN MUNICH

Now the second newcomer is also official – but the announcement is totally unusual!

On Saturday, Ryan Gravenberch (20) signed his contract at Säbener Straße until 2027 and completed the medical check in Munich two weeks ago before his Mykonos vacation. So far there has been no official announcement…

FC Bayern wanted to announce the transfer of the Ajax talent on Monday afternoon. But his father Ryan Gravenberch senior got ahead of the German record champions. At noon, the dad posts a signature photo of his son and Ryan junior in the Bayern jersey in his Instagram story on Instagram.

At 6 p.m., Bayern followed suit and officially announced the change after the last few details had been clarified! In the statement, Gravenberch says: “I come to Munich to win a lot of titles – and FC Bayern is used to winning a lot of titles. Anything is possible with this club, including victory in the Champions League.”

The midfield talent costs 18.5 million euros plus 5.5 million euros in bonuses. Ajax Amsterdam also gets 7.5 percent of a possible resale.

Everything was already negotiated in April with the replacement for Corentin Tolisso (27/end of contract) and his management around star consultant Mino Raiola (54), who died on April 30. A deal that was very important for CEO Oliver Kahn (52) and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (45).

In the end, however, Manchester United tried to intervene with the new coach Erik ten Hag (52/previously also at Ajax)!

Gravenberch in the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: “United is a very big and great club. But I already had such a good feeling with Bayern and had already given them my word.”

Gravenberch also revealed that he is bringing his mom Aretha to Munich!

For the Oranje jewel, family is very important: “My mother will come and live with me in Munich. My dad (Ryan Sr.) will also be here often to take care of many things. So I can fully concentrate on football. I hope to find a home in the next few weeks.”

In Munich he now meets his Ajax colleague Noussair Mazraoui (24/came on a free transfer, contract until 2026).

Gravenberch: “I like that ‘Nous’ is coming here too. It’s always nice when you know someone!”
