“Everything is fine, it was just a scare”: Neymar reassuring after an emergency landing

More fear than harm for the occupants of the private jet. And for Neymar in particular. The PSG striker, to which the plane belongs, was present on board. The mid-flight distress call and then the emergency landing in northeast Brazil caused some cold sweats among admirers of the Parisian star. This Tuesday, several media including the Sun, a British daily, indeed reported that an aircraft belonging to Neymar and which had taken off from Miami in the direction of Brazil, had been forced into an emergency maneuver. The 30-year-old gave the news a few hours later on Instagram. “It’s alright, it was just a scare,” he wrote.

The plane landed in Boa Vista in Brazil when it was to reach Sao Paulo in the southeast. “There was a depressurization problem due to a defective windshield,” explains the daily O Globo on its site. The Brazilian striker was traveling with his girlfriend Bruna Biancardi, his sister Rafaella and several other relatives. “We’re going home now, it was just a scare,” he added on Instagram.

Before that, Neymar had spent a few days in Las Vegas where he had taken part in a poker tournament but also at the party of the Golden State Warriors, who had just been crowned NBA champions. He had taken over the management of the United States after the international break with Brazil in Asia, victorious against South Korea (5-1) and Japan (1-0). Neymar took the opportunity to increase his total goals in Seleçao (74) and get closer to Pelé’s record (77).
