European Club Championship Badminton Rinconada is included in Group 1 of the European Club Championship

The Rinconada Badminton Club You already know the three rivals with whom will fight to get the ticket to the final phase of the European Club Championship. The draw for the European badminton Champions has not been especially favorable to those of Antonio Molina, who They have been framed alongside the favourite, CB Chambly Oise, which was a silver medalist in the last championship in 2019.

The calendar is yet to be defined, the group stage matches will be played on Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 June in the Polish town of Bialystok. With the calendar still to be decided, the corner players, apart from facing the french championthey will do so against one of the two host teams, the OSSM – SMS Bialystok, the Polish champion and with whom Rinconada, a priori, will measure their options to pass among the first two of the group to advance to the quarterfinals. He will also have to face the Portuguese champion, the What a Lagoensea team that debuts on the European tour.

For Antonio Molina, contrary to what it may seem, it was not a bad draw. According to the technician, it is positive “having been framed in the group where Chambly Oise is, as it is the great favorite to win the title and, when facing each other in the group stage, we would not do it again until a hypothetical semifinal or even final, depending on the final draw”. Regarding the future of the draw, in general terms, Antonio Molina values his group and the rest of the competition: “Our group is a group where we see ourselves with possibilities. Although it will be difficult to steal first place from the French team, I think we will play for second place with the Poles, who without knowing much about them seem to be an interesting team. Regarding the Portuguese, a priori they do not seem to be a considerable threat to pass groups. The other groups are different. In the case of group 2, where the other Spanish team, Recreativo IES La Orden, is located, it seems an affordable group and they will not be in trouble to advance to the next round. Group 3 does not have any strong rivals beyond the Lithuanian team, as they are always powerful and, however, group 4 could be considered the toughest due to the Icelandic champion, the Lithuanian champion, the Italian champion and the Norwegian champion, another country to consider”.

Having seen the draw, Molina continues to believe in the possibilities of doing a good job: “We remain in the expectation of passing the group stage and, depending on the match, fight for the fight for the medals. We are taking this European Championship as a true final, and the demands we are making on ourselves are maximum, as we do not want to waste this great opportunity to be back on the European scene. The games will dictate the sentence but a priori we see ourselves capable of surprising everyone and achieving a great role in this championship”.
