Eintracht Frankfurt: Will Martin Hinteregger cause the next scandal? – Bundesliga

From now on, Eintracht will be watching Sirnitz very closely…

Defense boss Martin Hinteregger (29) hosts the “Hinti Cup” in his home village (277 inhabitants) in Carinthia (Austria).

Despite the scandal surrounding the collaboration with right-wing extremist Heinrich Sickl, which the defender has since ended (BILD reported), Hinti has stuck to the hobby tournament. Only the concerts by DJ Ötzi and Co. were canceled. The youth tournament (U13) started on Thursday.

But on Friday from 11 a.m. things really get going. Over 80 teams have registered, around 30 of which are said to come from Frankfurt. Hundreds of Hinti fans make a pilgrimage to Austria, want to celebrate a huge party in Sirnitz. At 5 p.m., Hinti taps the beer.

Eintracht fans had already besieged the town sign for photos beforehand. Games are also played in the surrounding communities of Weitensfeld and Steuerberg. Otherwise the onslaught would be unstoppable. The grand finale then takes place in Sirnitz on Saturday, of course – afterwards there will be a celebration in the marquee…

The problem: Because of his serious thigh injury, Hinteregger can’t actually play in his own tournament. A comeback before July is usually unthinkable. Or does Hinti cause the next scandal and kick along with it? Even Eintracht does not assume that the defense chief will allow himself that. At most, the obligatory kick-off could be in there. But in the end, Ösi was always good for a nasty surprise…

On June 27th he has to report back after his numerous missteps, then Hinti will be concerned with his future at Eintracht.
