Eintracht Frankfurt: Official! Mario Götze comes – Bundesliga

Welcome back to the Bundesliga, Mario Götze (30)!

Now it’s fixed: Our World Cup hero from 2014 has signed a three-year contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2025. Thanks to an exit clause, he comes from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven for only 3 million euros, according to BILD information.

Götze explains: “I’m really looking forward to Eintracht Frankfurt. This club has undergone an extraordinary development and has embarked on an exciting and ambitious path, on which I can now accompany the club. This club has a great foundation. From the stadium to the fans to the city, everything just suits me. I’m really looking forward to my return to the Bundesliga. In addition, we have the chance to play in the Champions League.”

The cardiological examination in Bad Nauheim was already on the agenda for Götze at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Then it was off to the orthopaedist in Frankfurt, followed by further sports medicine checks from 12.45 p.m. The Docs gave their thumbs up, Götze is in great shape!

The signature then followed at the Eintracht office. Then the change was over! A real transfer coup by sports boss Markus Krösche (41).

He says about the Götze-Hammer: “The fact that a player like Mario Götze has decided to go for Eintracht Frankfurt with conviction after numerous offers speaks for the outstanding image that the club has developed in recent years. I don’t have to waste a lot of words about the footballing qualities. We’ve been missing a player like him so far.”

Instead of following his previous PSV coach Roger Schmidt to Benfica, Götze really wanted to go to Eintracht. There he will attack with Frankfurt in the Champions League next season!
