Former Major League Baseball David Ortiz announced that there will be a contest for people who want to compete and travel with him to the induction ceremony for the entrance to the Cooperstown Hall of Fame.

However, doubts about his entry into the Hall of Fame were felt due to the issue of alleged doping of which he was accused. His only supposed positive for doping substances refers to a 2003 study that was supposed to be anonymous and whose purpose was to determine if MLB should institute regular tests.

The designated hitter has a career average of .286 and 541 home runs, 10 times selected for the All-Star Game, led a group of 13 debutants in the vote, which also includes Alex Rodríguez, Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Howard and Tim Lincecum.
