Deshaun Watson settles 20 of 24 lawsuits

Deshaun Watsonquarterback de los Cleveland Browns, reached an agreement with 20 of the 24 women who sue him for sexual harassment during massage sessions, according to Tony Buzbee, an attorney for the plaintiffs.

“Today I announce that all cases against Deshaun Watsonwith the exception of four, have reached an agreement. We are working on the paperwork for those settlements, when we have done that, those cases will be dismissed. The terms and amounts of those agreements are confidential. We will not comment further on such cases,” Buzbee stated.

Likewise, Buzbee clarified that Ashley Solis, the first plaintiff against Deshaun Watson, did not reach an agreement and your case will continue according to the court dates. “Her case did not reach an agreement and her story and that of three other brave women will continue,” said the lawyer.

NFL discipline

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy stated Thursday that “andhe development of today’s events has no impact on the agreed disciplinary process”. The league has not given a specific date to announce the possible penalty to the quarterback.

Watson is investigated by the league to see if he violated disciplinary guidelines of agreements between the players union and the NFL. The quarterback has repeatedly denied that he did nothing wrong and that all the sex was consensual.
