Delphine Delrue and Thom Gicquel will play the semi-finals of the Indonesia Master in Jakarta. The French pair, ranked 11th in the world, qualified this Friday for the last four of this World Tour super 500 tournament by winning against Hong Kongers Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet, 7th in the world (21-15, 21- 10).

In the semi-finals, they will face the Thais Supak Jomkoh and Supissara Paewsampran, n°24, whom the two Frenchmen had beaten during their only meeting, last October. “We played with the plan put in place, they failed to adapt, explains Delphine Delrue. We are happy to be in half in Indonesia, in one of the best atmospheres in the world, in front of a passionate audience. »

Recently silver medalists at the European Championships, Delrue and Gicquel notably eliminated, before this quarter-final, the Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai, world champion and ranked world No. 1, in the first round (21-19 , 21-16). They then won, in the round of 16, against the Danes Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje (21-13, 11-21, 21-19).
