The Basketball Champions League board met today to decide on the teams entered for the 2022/23 edition of the European competition. Four French clubs will be aligned, including SIG Strasbourg.
Historical club of the competition, the SIG Strasbourg knows, in part, its European future. To date, future SIGmen will participate in the preliminary round of the 2022/23 Basketball Champions League season.
Nevertheless, while France has three clubs in the regular season, Limoges, Dijon and Pau, uncertainty remains as to the participation of the Pau club. Thus, in view of the situation, namely that the EBPLO does not have its future assured in Betclic ELITE, if it is demoted to N1, SIG Strasbourg would then automatically qualify for the regular season.
