Charles Lee will be Mike Budenholzer’s new right-hand man

Darvin Ham hired by the Lakers, Mike Budenholzer has lost a new assistant, a few years after having already lost Taylor Jenkins, who has become the very good coach of the Grizzlies.

As often in Milwaukee, you don’t change a winning staff, et selon The Athletic, Mike Budenholzer chose to promote Charles Lee, who became his “associate head coach”. It will be in a way his first assistant, and that should be accompanied by a new contract.

Just like Darvin Ham, or Ime Udoka before he was hired by the Celtics, Charles Lee interviews every year to become a “head coach”, and this season, he has entertained with the Lakers, Kings, Hornets, and Jazz.

Besides, he is still on the list of candidates to replace Quin Snyder at Utah. Which means that Mike Budenholzer will have to wait before being sure to be able to count on him next season.
