Cerveceros-Sonora starts beating in the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament

MAZATLAN._ Cerveceros-Sonora had a good debut in the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament 2022 by beating Muralla Rojo-Mazatlán by a large score of 23 runs to 11, in a game in the Juvenile Major category.

The Brewers were on their way to a quiet victory by taking a 10-2 lead with a 9-run rally in the third inning, but in the closing, the ninth from Murallense responded with 8 runs to get closer to 10-11 on the scoreboard.

However, in the opening of the fourth round, the Brewers attacked Mazatlan’s pitching and, with a 13-run streak, headed for a 23-11 victory.

Brandon Espinoza highlighted the offense for the Sonoran team with 3 hits, including a triple and drove in 3 runs.

Cristian Franco had three hits, as did his teammate Yurem Medrano, who also drove in 3 runs.

The winning pitcher was Ramón Robles. Yadier Verduzco and Rubén Gallardo started.

The defeat went to Alejandro Galván with relays from Ángel Osuna and Gabriel Núñez.

Daniel León stood out for Muralla by going 2-3 with 3 RBIs.

Roberto Hernández went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles.

In the Children’s category, Liga Mazatlán B fell 9-11 against Gigantes de Coahuila.

A game full of emotions played by the Rayaditos and Coahuilenses, which ended up being defined for the visitors.

In the Minor Youth category game, Guerreros Río Bravo-Tamaulipas beat Rangers Academia JM Arteaga-Coahuila by a score of 6-2.

Jesús Galván scored the victory in relief of Héctor Torres. Moisés Hernández was credited with saving.

The defeat went to Gonzalo Valdez, in relief of Gael Contreras.

Rangers opened the scoring with a couple of runs in the second inning, but Guerreros equalized the game with 2 runs in the closing of the third inning, taking advantage of the lack of control of the rival pitching to score on base-wheelies to Moisés Hernández and Julián Ramírez.

And in the fourth inning, Guerreros scored 4 RBIs on a home run by Moisés Hernández.

In the Major Children category game, Bucerías-Bahía de Banderas had a great performance in the tournament by beating Potros de Saltillo 13-1.

Mauro Barraza scored the win with relief from Irving Aragón.

The defeat went to Isaac Rangel with relays from Emiliano Becerra Osbaldo Domínguez, Carlos Gaona and Ricardo Cárdenas.

Bucerías headed for victory with a couple of runs in the first chapter, added 5 in the second roll, and one more in the third.

And in the fourth inning they closed with 5 more runs to complete a wide lead.

Colts scored his run in the fourth inning.

SECOND DAY

This Friday the second day of competition takes place in the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament, with games starting at 8:00 a.m. in the fields of Club Muralla, Liga Mazatlán and Unidad Deportiva Benito Juárez.
