In the Mobley family, I would like the… big brother! After selecting Evan in 2021, the Cavaliers took advantage of their 49th pick, recovered during the day, to choose Isaiah Mobley (2m08, 22 years old). Also trained at USC, he’s the big brother, and this season he averaged 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds. He was also the best blocker and second passer, and he was voted in the best five of the Pac-12.
The two form the third pair of brothers in the NBA after Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks and Moe and Franz Wagner of the Magic.
Right-handed unlike his brother, Isaiah is a complete interior, capable of shooting 3-pointers as he proved last year against Utah in the quarter-finals of the Pac-12 tournament or against Gonzaga during of this March Madness, but also to distribute the game. He will have the Summer League to prove that he deserves a place on the Cavaliers bench as his brother’s understudy.
