Carolina Marín, from Huelva, six times European champion and three times world badminton champion, confirmed on Tuesday that she will not participate in the Indonesian Masters, which will be held between June 7 and 12 in Jakarta.

“Due to the preparation, I will not play in the #IndonesiaMasters. We will give it our all in the #IndonesiaOpen!”, announced the Spanish midfielder on her social networks in reference to the next tournament in the Indonesian capital from June 14 to 19.



Marín, Olympic champion in Rio 2016, reappeared at the end of last April in the last European Championship played in Madrid, where she won her sixth consecutive continental title by defeating the Scottish Kirsty Gilmour, in just 41 minutes (21-10 and 21-12). .

The Andalusian returned to compete then after eleven months off the track due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament and the two menisci in her left knee, an injury that prevented her from participating in the Tokyo Olympics last summer.

The Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA) confirmed that the Spanish Beatriz Corrales and Clara Azurmendi will not participate in the Indonesian Masters either.
