LaLiga will choose who will be the narrators, commentators and analysts of its matches next season. And Carlos Martínez, Monica Marchante and Ricardo Sierra, in principle, in principle, will not continue.

The new LaLiga audiovisual contract, in which Movistar and DAZN will share the image rights for the next five seasons of the First Division matches, brings with it a series of novelties. To begin with, the television rights of the championship were divided equally with five games for DAZN and another five for Movistar. However, the Telefónica company has already announced that it will create a new DAZN LaLiga package for its subscribers.

This will not be, however, the only change. As published by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, LaLiga will now have the option to customize the Movistar signal and will assume the broadcast of the five matches that correspond to them. In other words, you will be able to choose the commentators from the booth, from the field and from the box for each match. This will bring a series of casualties, such as that of Carlos Martínez. The mythical commentator will stop narrating LaLiga matches after more than 30 years being one of Movistar’s hallmarks. Nor will other well-known faces of the chain continue, such as Ricardo Sierra or Mónica Marchante. DAZN will be able to count on its own team of commentators.
